FAQ

1. Why am I seeing the 'Unregistered Version' message in the program?

When you run the program for the first time, no key will have been entered, and therefore, the program will display a notice indicating that it is not registered. In this mode, you will only be able to use the program for 15 days (or 15 times).

As indicated in the download area, after reading the license agreement (https://www.astroworld.software/blog/license-agreement), you must request your license keys to remove the "unregistered version" notice, which will also appear on reports. To do so, please follow the steps below.

You must open the program, go to the "Settings" tab, and select "Registration". The following window will appear:

In the Activation Code field, you should see a number. You must send this number, along with the name you wish to register, to the Astroworld email address (info@astroworld.es) so that the keys can be provided to you.

Once you have received them, you must enter them in the same window you see above, and the program will be activated. Depending on your version, it will display “Registered ‘x’ Edition”. If the “Registered” status does not appear, it means the keys have not been entered correctly.

It is very important that you enter the keys exactly as you receive them in the email; you should copy and paste them. Any difference, such as a capital letter, an accent, or a space, will cause the program to not recognize the keys.

2. I have entered the keys, but it still says 'Unregistered Version'.

The best method is to copy and paste the keys directly from the email you receive. Often, when entering them manually, it is easy to confuse the number 0 with the capital letter O.

Additionally, please verify that you have not left any spaces at the beginning or end of the registration code.

For example, ensure there are no blank spaces before the first character or after the last one, which may not be easily visible.

3. Why does the program seem blocked and is completely grayed out?

When the program has no chart open, its interface will appear entirely gray, and it will not allow you to use any of its functions.

In the image above, we can see that the program's interface is completely gray, with everything disabled. If you try to access functions like "Natal Chart," "Prognosis," or any other, they will appear "greyed out" as shown.

This is completely normal and does not mean the program is blocked; it simply indicates that there is no chart currently open, and therefore, none of the functions can be used.

To operate the program normally, you just need to either create a new chart or open a previously saved one. Once a chart is open, you will be able to use all of the program's functions again.

4. Why are the texts not appearing? / Database not found

There are several reasons why the texts might not be appearing in the program. It's possible that the installation was not completed correctly or that the necessary administrator permissions were not granted.

First, when creating a new chart, you must ensure that the texts are selected.

You should always see at least one option in the selector (depending on the language(s) you have purchased). If nothing appears here, it means the texts were not installed correctly, and consequently, they will not be displayed. If they have not been installed correctly, you must reinstall the program, making sure to grant it administrator permissions.

If the texts still do not appear after this, you should (with the program closed) navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\AstroWorld (on Mac, you can access the Documents folder from Finder) and delete the "Media" folder.

It is also possible, especially for Mac users, that the program is not installing the texts because it requires permissions. To grant them and ensure everything works correctly, go to your Mac's System Settings, then access the permissions located in Security & Privacy > Privacy, select Files and Folders, and check all the boxes to grant full permission to AstroWorld:

Depending on your version of macOS, the location of these settings might differ slightly from what is shown above; however, the steps to follow are the same.

If you continue to have problems, please email info@astroworld.es for further technical assistance.

5. How do I change the language in the program?

If you have purchased one or more language packs or own the Titanium version, these will be available for you to use in the program. You should know that you can change the language of both the program's interface and the texts independently. Changing one does not affect the other, meaning you can have the program's interface in English but have the texts appear in Spanish. The steps to change each are detailed below.

Changing the Interface Language

To change the interface language, you must go to the "Languages" menu and select the one you want. The languages available to you will depend on the modules you have purchased.

If you want the entire report to appear in a specific language, for example, English, you must also set the interface to that language. This ensures that the cover page and everything related to the report's generation will be in the selected language.

Changing the Text Language

You can change the language of the texts in the chart creation or chart modification window. Each chart has an associated language. This means that if you create one chart in Spanish and later another one in English, each will retain its assigned language.

6. I don't know what a function is for or I don't understand how to use the program.

To get you started with the program, a manual is available in your user area. This manual explains in detail how to use the program and what each integrated function does, with explanations that can help you expand your astrological knowledge.

If you have any specific questions that you can not find there, you can also contact us directly.

7. On which devices can I install the program and what are the requirements?

The program is 100% compatible with Mac and Windows.

macOS: Compatible with macOS Sierra 10.12 and later. It requires about 700MB of free space on your hard drive.

Windows: Compatible with Windows 10, 11, and any Windows version with a 64-bit operating system (this may include Windows 8 and other previous systems). It requires about 500MB of free space on your hard drive.

If you have any questions about compatibility with your device, including for versions older or different than those listed, please contact us at info@astroworld.es for more information.

8. I can't open the program on Mac

It's possible that after installing the program from the .dmg file, you may see an alert similar to this one when you try to open it:

Rest assured that this is something that can happen during the first installation.

To solve it and be able to run the program, click "Cancel" and follow these steps:

After canceling, go to your Mac's settings (the images may vary depending on your macOS version). Navigate to "Security & Privacy" and go to the "General" tab.

There, you must click on "Open Anyway":

After you click it, you may see the alert shown in the next image. Click "Open" again, and you will have access to the program.

This alert will only appear the first time you install the program. Once you have followed these steps (if they were necessary, as this may not happen to everyone), you will be able to open the program normally.

9. I can't find a location I want to use, what can I do?

Although AstroWorld has an extensive database of locations, it is possible that the one you are trying to find is not included, as some towns with a small number of inhabitants are not in the database. If this is the case, don't worry, because you can manually add as many locations as you need. You can also modify existing ones if necessary.

Select “Add/Modify location data” from the “Modify” tab.

This will open the interface for entering new locations into AstroWorld's local database.

To add the location, you must enter the name in the Place Name field (without clicking the search button). After entering the name, select the corresponding parameters: the location's country, longitude, latitude, and time zone.

Once everything is configured, you must click the “Ok” button. The location will now be saved. You just need to search for it when creating or modifying a natal chart.

10. Steps to create a backup

To back up the program's data, you need to go to the "Documents" folder on your computer and copy the entire contents of the "AstroWorld" folder to a safe location, such as a USB drive, a CD, or by uploading it to the cloud.

This folder contains all the customizations you may have made to the program (added designs, created horoscopes, etc.).

Once the copy is made, you can transfer it to the same location (Documents/AstroWorld) on a new computer.

You can perform a full backup or back up only what you need. To do this, simply copy and save the corresponding folder and then paste it back after installing the program on another computer or after formatting your hard drive.
